New from the Fields – May 2022

The Senior class spoke about what the Lord has taught them…

God is so good!

We truly want to thank you for supporting our family as we live and serve here among these students and this Senior class. We are so honored to be up close to watch the Lord in the lives of these students. The Seniors recently spoke of some of what the Lord taught them in their two years here. (photos below)

18 days until Graduation!

Please pray for our Seniors:

  • Some are already being sent by their church to start missionary training this Fall.
  • Some are returning to their sending church to build relationships before being sent by them to missionary training.
  • All of them know God’s heart for the world and are ready to continue to be His light to the world as He leads them to their next step.

God has done amazing work in their lives in two short years. It is absolutely incredible to watch their growth and to be a small part of their lives here at Bible school. If you know of anyone who would be interested in Bible School, send them our way. Click the blue button below for more information.

The Senior class raised funds for sending one of our staff couples to serve overseas. They asked Dave to recreate his timeline from one of his classes, and they put it on shirts to sell. That was super special!!

Thank you for partnering with us financially every single month so that we can have this amazing opportunity!

Thank you for praying, loving and supporting our family,
Dave, Kim, Reece & Clark Field

The Lenz’ – March 2022

Joe and his family. Their baby girl was born around New Years 2022

Holy Smokes…

Several years ago, due to some most unfortunate circumstances, an outreach was started with a group of about 13 people. Among these were Jo and his wife Airen. Jo was quite rough around the edges. Admittedly, he spent a lot of his time gambling at the local village markets and most of their money was spent on drugs and alcohol. Airen, on the other hand, was a very religious woman. Though she knew about God and had heard about Christ, she didn’t know Christ nor what he had to do with her salvation.

When Airen would read her trade-language Bible at home, Joe would get angry with her and yell at her to stop reading it or would sometimes throw the Bible across the house. One day he recounted how he would even take pages out of his wife’s Bible and use them to roll tobacco into his own smokes. He would do this just to goad her for being religious.

Through the teaching of His Word, both Jo and Airen became believers. Over time, our wives discipled Airen into becoming a Sunday school teacher and Jo had the desire to become a Bible teacher and continue to share the message of Christ with others. Unfortunately, though, Jo got tangled up in some of the things of his past and his commitment to proclaiming the message of salvation fell to the wayside. For the last 2 ½ years, our friend has battled some pretty serious illnesses and in mid-January, was told that he had a month, at most, to live. When we visited him around New Years, Jo told Robyn and me that he hasn’t abandon God’s Word, but that he would gather his family in the evenings and read his Bible, in his own language, to them. He said that he had given his life as an offering to God and whether God chose to heal him or allow the sickness to take his life, that was okay with him. One-by-one over his last weeks on this earth, Jo called his friends and family members into his house to settle any unresolved issues between them; both requesting and giving forgiveness. His mom told me the other day, as I went and sat with the family for a bit, that he had a notebook whose pages were filled with Scripture verses he’d copy down as he spent time reading his Bible over the last couple years. From rolling the pages of the Scriptures into Holy smokes…to copying them in a notebook…to seeing the Author face-to-face.

In the last week of his life, Jo said he had a dream in which he was in a garden full of beautiful flowers. Someone called out to him and asked, “Are you teaching Kos 1 (the Creation-to-Christ Bible lessons) to your children? Go back and teach it to your children.” After the dream, Jo told Airen that she had to teach God’s Word to their children. He knew he didn’t have enough time left to do so himself, but he knew it needed to be done!

Friend, whatever it is that stands between you and your friend/family member, don’t wait until the end to make it right. Offer your lives to Christ as a sacrifice now (Romans 12:1) and work diligently now to freely share the love of Christ with others while you still have the breath to do so. Please pray for Airen as she teaches her young children the Word of God. Pray for her as she lives the hard life of a widow in a hard culture. Pray for the church to learn how to care for the widows.

You Prayed and God Provided…
We have reached the full amount of funds needed to purchase a vehicle for the ministry here! We have even had some who have personally taken it on to provide a bit extra to get it outfitted with a turbo to help it climb the mountains better. It has been an amazing faith-grower to see God work in this awesome way. We really feel that “Thank You” is inadequate to express our gratitude for your part in praying with us about this need and your sacrificial giving toward it. You all make up an awesome team and we’re thankful for your part in this work. Our vehicle has been ordered and now we wait. We were initially told that it should be here by late-March, now we’ve been told that vehicle shortages are causing a 7-8 month delay. God raised the funds in remarkable timing, so I can trust that he’ll provide the physical vehicle in his timing as well.

Thank you again for your selfless support, prayers, and encouragement to our family in this ministry.

Your Co-workers in Christ,
Levi, Robyn, Michael, Daniel, Matthew, and Krystiana Lenz

Grace Covenent Ministry – 2021 in Review

Grace Covenant Ministries – Tommy Miracle

Our goal each year is to impact our community with the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Our role is to facilitate and arrange projects for each partnering organization. We come alongside each group with needed skills to ensure each project gets done to the best benefit of those receiving the work.

Blessings of 2021

We were able to complete a community fitness center with the help of our partners this year. It has been a dream of ours to provide this much needed facility for several years. With the financial help of our supporters and their voluntary time, we were able to complete it and open at the close of this past year.

Challenges of 2021

COVID-19 continues to be a burden not only to us, but around the world. Due to COVID-19, the availability of our partners’ participation was greatly diminished. Without hands and feet on the ground, several of our projects couldn’t be completed.

Hopes for 2022

We are certainly looking forward to things returning to normal, if that is possible. Our summer schedule is already booked to almost capacity. We have several much-needed projects that will be addressed this year. Our goal is to share Christ’s love with all.

How We Can Pray

We would ask that you continue to pray for us in the areas of guidance and stewardship.

Additional Needs

Money is always needed to take on the projects we do each year but, ultimately, we desire to help others see the glory of our Lord.

Thank you

Even with so many complications and barriers, our work has plodded on. The faithfulness of our supporters has been nothing short of a miracle. The families that have received our help have been very blessed with each gift they’ve received.

The Field’s – February 2022

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

What a wonderful missions emphasis week we just had here at Bible School!

It’s no small thing when 200 young people hear and understand about God’s heart for the world and for those who have never had the chance to hear the good news…ever!

“Plan like you are going, until God tells you to stay.”
“Be involved in God’s whole reason we are here on earth…to bring Him glory and make His name known throughout the world.”
“Go, or help send those who are going, and take opportunities wherever you are.”

Please pray for our students as they consider everything they heard this week and offer their lives up to the Lord. He is worth it!

We have a campus visit weekend in one week! We have 36 visitors registered and we are praying and trusting the Lord to bring in 50 visitors! We want them to see what the Lord is doing here. We want them to hear God’s heart for the world through all the classes they will sit in on and through the amazing community of students here.

“If we are so amazed at what God has done for me, let’s share it with someone else!”

We are so very thankful to partner alongside you as HE advances HIS Kingdom!
Dave & Kim Field
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Col. 4:2

The Johnson’s – Urgent Prayer Request – February 2020

Special Request to Help Evacuate a Global Scholar’s Family

The Need

One of the privileges we have had over the years in our work with Global Scholars is to meet other academics from other countries, people who love the Lord and want to glory God through their academic studies.

One such person is Slavik Lytvenenko from Ukraine. His specialty is the study of Patristics, the early Christian Fathers of our faith. Before moving to Prague, he taught at a Christian college in Eastern Ukraine. When we met Slavik, he was working on his Ph.D. At the same time, we met his wife, Oksana, and their three children who attended the Christian International School of Prague. Over the years, this family has become dear friends of ours.

They have remained in Prague as their kids have grown and Slavik’s teaching ministry has been in Prague as well as Belgium and the US.

However, their family remains in Ukraine. Born and raised in the Donetsk region, Slavik and Oksana have been quite concerned for their family. Let me use Slavik’s words that we received this morning in an email.

I am trying to raise support for our family in Druzhkivka who are about 30 miles away from the war zone and about 40 miles from Donetsk. Our government is now recommending for such people to get evacuated in light of what is going on there right now. So, my Mom will be moving to Kyiv, and we have friends who can host her there for a while. Oksana’s Mom has decided to stay because she is suffering from cancer (for a couple of years now) and is too weak to move anywhere at this point. We’ll keep helping her where she is. Oksana’s sister with her husband and three kids will be relocating to a town near Lviv (the most western region in Ukraine).

Since the beginning of the war in the fall of 2014, that area has been struck with poverty, and we’ve been helping our family ever since. However, our resources are quite exhausted, and I’d like to look for some support to help them at this critical time. According to our estimations, we need about $4,500, and I have more specific figures if needed.

Because Slavik is already a supported Global Scholars, we have asked and received permission to send out the link to his support account. No money will come through us at all. It will all go directly through Global Scholars to Slavik and his family.

Would you prayerfully consider supporting Slavik in helping his mom and sister-in-law and family get evacuated from the Donetsk region, as well as help Oksanna’s sick mom get to a safe place near her home?

If you are open to helping, please use the link below to the Global Scholars giving page. There is a dropdown menu to find professors to support in alphabetical order. Look for Lytvynenko, Viacheslav Slavik and Aksanna. Click on that name and then add whatever you feel led to contribute to help this family.

There is NO pressure here. We know this is a tight time financially for many people. Give only as the Lord leads.

Thank you for considering helping a family in need of evacuation to safety in Ukraine!
Please keep Ukraine and Belarus in your prayers!
