Rev. Kerry Doyle, of the local EFCA district, is preaching today

  1. We are to be All about HIM, Christ, our hope of glory (1:9-27)
  2. We Proclaim Him, with Wisdom, Willing to Suffer (24-28; cf. Col. 4:2-6)
  3. We’re Purposeful: To Present Mature Disciples to Him (vs. 28: cf. Matt. 28:18-20; Gal. 4:19; Rom. 15:16)
  4. We Persevere in this Mission, with His Power (vs. 29; cf. John 15:1-5; 1Cor. 15:10)

Questions for Study:

  • Do you know Him, God’s source of hope for us? (1:26, 27)
  • Are you growing in knowledge of Him? Study, pray Col. 1:9-20
  • Do you live to make Him known? With your:
    • Life – fruit of Spirit, deeds (Gal. 5:19-22; Matt. 5:13-16)
    • Lips – truth of Spirit from the Word (Col. 3:16-17; 4:5, 6)
  • What flows most frequently from you? Politics, pandemic, playthings… (Luke 6:45; Col. 3:14-16)

“Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.”
