“Flower City Work Camp” Serving Opps (April 5-9)

Flower City Work Camp (FCWC) is a local missions trip for youth grades 7-12.  FCWC 2020 happens Sunday, April 5 – Thursday, April 9.  FCWC uses local youth to deliver a range of services into the City of Rochester and surrounding areas “that the city might see Jesus.”

Services that youth deliver include:
·        Home repair
·        Soccer and basketball day camps (11-12th grade eligible only)
·        Sidewalk clubs
·        Agency support
Applications for youth are can be accepted through January 3, 2020. www.flowercityworkcamp.org/student-info

BUT, youth cannot attend without ample adult support.  For every 3.5 youth that attend, there needs to be an adult leader in each of the following areas:
·        Work Site Leader for home repair, or Roving Expert, or Sidewalk Club Leader, or Sports Camp Coach, or an Agency Leader. This is a Monday through Wednesday day time commitment.
·        Lunch Coordinator to make and deliver lunch (likely only one day in the week, possibly more, serving approximately 15-20 workers at a site; can be a shared role).
·        Overnight Leader per gender (can be a shared role).

Applications for mandatory adult volunteers accepted through January 10, 2020.
There are other ways that adults can serve too: Gofers, Kitchen Crew, First Aid Workers, Security Team, Prayer Walk Leaders, and Merchandise Team. There is need for Clean Up Support at closing on Thursday 4/9 ONE HOUR COMMITMENT (note: this is not a position that doesn’t have an on line sign up, just a good will commitment). Other support helpers have until February 14, 2020 to sign up. www.flowercityworkcamp.org/volunteer
