What is Refuge? Refuge is a Youth Group sponsored by Second Reformed Church of Marion. It is geared toward youth in 5th thru 12th grade and is open to all surrounding communities. Refuge meets in the building behind the Second Reformed Church on Sundays. It is our desire that everyone who enters our doors will feel welcome and challenged to grow in a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Theme Verse for 2017-2018: Let all that you do be done in love. (I Corinthians 16:14)
We will be mixing it up a bit this year and will be having separate lessons/activities for both Senior and Junior high! We will have our meet/greet, announcements and worship time together to start but we will then be splitting up and having our time for activities/lesson as separate groups. There will be time at the end to come back together if you choose or just hang out with your age group.
We will be continuing with our tradition of having weekly snacks/drinks and a monthly meal together. We will be having our meals the first Sunday of the month. Please see Brenda O’Brien to sign up to provide a snack/meal or team up with another family to do so. Your support is greatly appreciated and a major blessing to all!
